After a break of a few years, the Youth Committee of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) will organize the Meeting of Young Economists (FIKOT) for the 40th time on Friday, 13 October 2023, from 10:00 am at the University of Debrecen, Böszörményi út Campus, Debrecen (Debrecen, Böszörményi út 138). This year’s conference will focus on artificial intelligence.

The two introductory presentations of the conference will be given by Anikó Szombati, Chief Digital Officer and Managing Director responsible for digitalisation and fintech sector development of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, and member of the Board of the Fintech and Finance Section of the HEA; and Lilla Bánkuty-Balogh, Senior Expert of the MNB, Master Lecturer at the MNB Institute of the Neumann János University.

In the first round table discussion of the afternoon programme, starting at 13:00, Anikó Szombati will be joined by Éva Hegedüs, CEO of GRÁNIT Bank Zrt., Secretary General of HEA; Attila Csáky, Managing Director of Unicredit Bank Hungary and Éva Pintér, Deputy Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Corvinus University of Budapest and Chair of the HEA’s Fintech and Financial Culture Section. They will share their thoughts on the latest developments in the fintech sector.

The second panel, starting at 15:00, will focus on innovation. The participants of this round table will be László Ábrahám, CEO of Sensirion Zrt.; István Róbert Kulcsár, founder and owner of Shoprenter; István Kovács, senior expert in economic analysis of EDC Debrecen Kft. and Péter Riczu, digital agriculture project manager of KITE Zrt.
