Spatial Distribution of Hungarian Innovation-Driven Enterprises and Innovation-Driven Enterprises in Hungary: Empirical Results at First Sight were published in the September 2024 issue of the Financial and Economic Review, by Mihály Szoboszlai, Stefan Kovács and András Nemeslaki Nemeslaki. The Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) and the Financial and Economic Review will organise a panel discussion on these papers in a hybrid format on Monday, 14 October 2024, from 14:00 at the Lámfalussy Conference Centre of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB), Krisztina körút 55, Budapest. The event will be streamed live on the HEA’s YouTube channel.

At the beginning of the event, Barnabás Virág, Deputy Governor of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Financial and Economic Review and member of the Board of the Competitiveness Section of the HEA will welcome the participants. After the welcome speech, Mihály Szoboszlai, Chief Economist of the MNB, and Stefan Kovács, Assistant Professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BMGE), will briefly present the main conclusions of their studies. In addition to Mihály Szoboszlai, the panel discussion following the introductory presentations will feature András Nemeslaki, Professor at BMGE, as author, and Magdolna Csath, Professor and Vice President of the Innovation Section of the HEA. The event will be moderated by András Balatoni, Director of the MNB and member of the Board of the Economic Policy and Theory Section of the HEA.
