Challenges of the Hungarian innovation and startup ecosystem

The Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), the Innovation Section of the HEA and the Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) will organise a joint conference on the challenges of the Hungarian innovation and startup ecosystem on Monday, 18 November 2024, from 9.30 a.m. in Budapest, in the K001 auditorium of METU, 1148 Budapest, Nagy Lajos király útja 1-9. The conference will be streamed live on the HEA’s YouTube channel.

The introductory speeches of the conference will be delivered by László Bódis, Deputy State Secretary for Innovation of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (invited); Magdolna Csath, Research Professor of METU, Vice President of the Innovation Section of the HEA and Tamás Turcsán, startup consultant, Founder-CEO of Pozi.io., President of the Startup Section of HEA. The introductory presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion on the challenges of being a startuper, with the participation of 3-4 young startupers from METU’s Innovation Centre and moderated by Péter Fáykiss, Associate Professor at the Institute. The participants will be welcomed by György Kocziszky, Rector of METU and Gyula Pleschinger, President of the HEA.
