Compensating for disadvantage in public education – this is the title of an online professional conference organised by the Labour Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) on Thursday, 6 March 2025, from 14:00 on Webex and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
Conference speakers will be: Timea Tibori, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Sociology, HUN-REN Social Science Research Centre (Principles and practices in disadvantage compensation and their impact on domestic public education); Ildikó Bihari, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Political Science and Sociology, University of Debrecen (Disadvantage compensation in public education institutions, focus on good practices) and Judit Molnárné Kovács, Professor at the Institute of Psychology, University of Debrecen (Family milieu as part of socio-cultural disadvantage and its impact on the development of social competences). The event was chaired by István Sum, Associate Professor at Milton Friedman University and member of the Board of the HEA Labour Section.
