The Competitiveness and Innovation Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), in cooperation with the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) and the Budapest Metropolitan University (METU), will organize a conference on global megatrends and their development opportunities on Wednesday, 26 February 2025, from 14:00 at the HEA Community Room (ELTE ÁJK, 1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti u. 10-12, 4th floor 403). The event can be followed live on the HEA YouTube channel. The theme of the event is the publication of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank entitled Megatrendek – The 64 fundamental megatrends that shape our world.
The event will start with a presentation by Gergely Baksay, Managing Director of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank and President of the HEA Competitiveness Section, on the role of megatrends. This will be followed by a presentation by Magdolna Csath, professor, Vice President of the Innovation Section of HEA on The role of innovation in shaping global trends, and then by a presentation by Péter Asztalos, Senior Economist at the MNB on Knowledge: the key to success in the 21st century. Finally, Péter Fáykiss, Head of Department at METU and Director of International Business Development at HOLD Fund Management, will present digitalisation megatrends.
