“The invisible hand is now writing code…” The AI era: knowledge, work, and responsibility redefined. Under this title, the Heves County Organization of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) is hosting a lecture by Tamás Galambos, human–AI interpreter, co-founder of Cognitudo.ai, and President of the International Economics Section of HEA. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. in Eger, in Room 121 of Building B at Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (3300 Eger, Egészségház St. 4).
AI is not merely a technological innovation. It is transforming the labor market, redefining the concept of competitiveness, and raising questions about economic responsibility. What does the value of knowledge mean in an automated world? How is the role of the economist changing? Is the invisible hand of the market still guiding us today, or are algorithms making decisions on our behalf? Who generates future growth: human capital or artificial intelligence? Among other issues, the lecture seeks to explore these questions.
In connection with the event, the Heves County Organization of HEA will also hold its upcoming leadership election. The link to the electronic ballot will be sent by email one week prior to the event to members of the county organization who are eligible to vote—that is, members without outstanding membership fee arrears.
