The Memoirs of a Civil Servant in Changing Eras and Locations — this is the title of the autobiographical volume by Endre Juhász, former Ambassador of Hungary accredited to the European Union, chief negotiator of Hungary’s EU accession talks, former Minister responsible for European affairs, and former Judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union, to be published by Gondolat Publishing House. The book will be presented at an event organized by the Hungarian Lawyers’ Association and the European Union Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, from 3:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Károlyi–Csekonics Palace (17 Múzeum Street, Budapest 1088).
The volume will be presented by János Martonyi, university professor and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary. Invited speakers include Péter Darák, associate professor and former President of the Curia; Lajos Vékás, university professor, full member and former Vice President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and former Rector of ELTE University; and Zsolt Becsey, associate professor at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, former Member of the European Parliament, former Deputy Head of the Hungarian Mission to the European Union, and Vice President of the European Union Section of the Hungarian Economic Association. Guests will be welcomed by László Trócsányi, university professor, former Minister of Justice, President of the Hungarian Lawyers’ Association, and Rector of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary.
