The Fintech and Financial Culture Section of the Hungarian Economic Association is organizing an online event on the current issues of cryptocurrency regulation and electronic payments on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 1 pm.

Viktor Vajda, lawyer, lecturer at the Corvinus University of Budapest and the Budapest Institute of Banking, shares his thoughts on current issues in the regulation of cryprocurrencies at the European level. The experts of the panel following the presentation will talk about the situation of the spread of electronic payment methods in Hungary, regulatory issues and the effects of the coronavirus epidemic in this field. The participants of the discussion are: Lajos Bartha, Executive Director responsible for financial infrastructures and banking operations of the Hungarian National Bank; Péter Csányi, Chairman of the Digitization Working Group of the Hungarian Banking Association; Endre Eölyüs, Director of Mastercard Europe, Head of Mastercard’s Budapest Office; Zsolt Pál, director of the FINTELLIGENCE Financial Culture Center; Zsolt Selmeczi-Kovács, CEO of GIRO Zrt., Member of the board of HEA and Ágnes Sütő, deputy secretary general of the Hungarian Banking Association. The moderator of the discussion is Éva Pintér, associate professor, strategic head of the Corvinus Fintech Center, chairman of the Fintech and Financial Culture Section of HEA.
