Professor Attila Borbély, honorary member of the Hungarian Olympic Commitee, vice-president of the Defense Sports Association, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Magyar Telekom Plc. was re-elected as the President of the Sports Economics Section of the HEA. During the online elections, the voting members of the section elected Olympic champion gymnast Krisztián Berki, sports director of the Hungarian Gymnastics Association and Zsuzsanna Jakabos, European champion swimmer, to the presidency as well.

At the beginning of the online event, Olympic champion gymnast Krisztián Berki, the newly appointed sports director of the Hungarian Gymnastics Association, gave an overview of the state of Olympic preparation and the challenges generated by the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics. The members unanimously elected the officers of the department for another term: Attila Borbély as the president of the section; Zoltán Bács, Chancellor of the University of Debrecen, as co-president, and Tünde Gergics, expert of the Fiscal Council as the sectetary of the section.

The voting members also unanimously elected the members of the Board of the Sports Economics Section: András Becsky, general vice-president of the Hungarian Swimming Association; Olympic champion Krisztián Berki, sports director of the Hungarian Gymnastics Association; Tamás Dékán, director of the Debrecen Sports Center; Tamás Hámori economist, tennis coach; Zsuzsanna Jakabos, European Champion swimmer; Veronika Fenyves, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Debrecen and Zoltán Nagy, Chief Security Officer of Magyar Telekom Plc.
