Tamás Kozák, President of the Trade Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA), will replace György Vámos as Secretary General of the National Trade Association (NTA) from 23 March.
Tamás Kozák, an economist and former civil servant in the state administration, has been involved in the preparation of several pieces of legislation affecting the commercial sector, such as the new Trade Act. He has held middle and senior management positions in various areas of the business sector and is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Commerce of the Budapest Business University. In addition, as President of the Trade Section of the Hungarian Economic Association, he strives to combine academic and practical knowledge and continuously cooperates with distinguished actors in the commercial sector.
According to a statement from the NTA, the organisation, with the active involvement of the new Secretary General, will work to ensure that commercial enterprises can operate in a regulatory environment that provides a predictable operating environment in the longer term. Given the economic weight of its member companies, the Confederation intends to be a key partner of the government in trade-related decisions. One of the co-chairs of the NTA is Ildikó Balázs, Director of Corporate Relations of Auchan Hungary and member of the Board of the Trade Section of the HEA.
We congratulate our Section President on his election as Secretary General of the NTA and wish him good health and success in her work.
