Contrasting World Visions: Globalism v Nationalism, Multilateralism v Bilateralism, and Democracy v Autocracy. Under this slogan, the International Economic Association (IEA) will hold the 21st World Congress in Belgrade from June 22 to 26, 2026. The event is expected to welcome over 800 economists from around the world, with more than 400 papers scheduled to be presented in both standalone and parallel academic sessions. Naturally, several Nobel laureates (Esther Duflo, Jean Tirole, Joseph Stiglitz) will also be among the speakers.
