Crossroads on the Path to the Future of Money: CBDC or Stablecoins, or Both – A Central Banking Perspective. With this title, the Monetary Policy Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) will organize an English-language panel discussion on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., via Webex and the HEA YouTube channel.
The panelists will be: Anneke Kosse, Senior Economist, BIS, Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures; Előd Takáts, Deputy Secretary General of the BIS Committee on the Global Financial System, Chair of the HEA Monetary Policy Section, and Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics; Dávid Szabó, portfolio manager at Decent Investment and Hold Property Management; and Ádám Banai, Executive Director of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Central Bank of Hungary) and Co-Chair of the HEA Monetary Policy Section.
