This year as well, the Hungarian Economic Association’s (HEA) Economic Policy and Economic Theory Section is organizing its traditional macroeconomic forecasting roundtable discussion on Thursday, 29 January 2026, from 3:00 p.m., in the HEA community space, on the 4th floor of Building B of the ELTE Faculty of Law (1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti u. 10–12) and on the HEA YouTube channel.
Participants in the discussion will be: András Balatoni, Director responsible for economic forecasting and analysis at the Hungarian National Bank, and member of the Boars of the HEA Economic Policy and Economic Theory Section; Éva Palócz, CEO of Kopint-Tárki Zrt., Vice President of the HEA; Gergely Tardos, Director of the Analysis Center of OTP Bank; and Péter Virovácz, Senior Analyst of the ING. The discussion will be moderated by István Madár, Chief Analyst at Portfolio.hu, member of the HEA Board. The participants will be welcomed by Péter Halmai, academician, President of the Section.
