Globalization and Deglobalization in the 21st Century – Under this title, the Section IX of Economics and Law of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with the Department of Economic Policy and Economic Theory of the Hungarian Economic Association, is organizing a professional conference as part of the MTA200 event series. The conference will take place on Thursday, 12 February 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the Ceremonial Hall of the MTA Headquarters (1051 Budapest, Széchenyi István tér 9).
Among the speakers at the conference will be, among others, Péter Halmai, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and President of the Department of Economic Policy and Economic Theory of the Hungarian Economic Association; Attila Chikán, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and former President of the Section; and László Csaba, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
