AI and the Labor Market – under this title, the Labor Section of the Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) and the journal Economic Review are organizing an online professional roundtable discussion on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, starting at 14:00, on Webex and on the HEA YouTube channel. The discussion is prompted by the study by Andrea Szalavetz, scientific advisor at the Institute of World Economics of ELTE KRTK, titled Cutting through the noise about the impact of ai on employment, published in the January 2026 issue of Economic Review.
The introductory presentation will be given by the author, Andrea Szalavetz. Invited discussants: Miklós Koren, professor at the Central European University (CEU); Ágnes Tóth, former CEO of Prohuman Zrt.; and József Nógrádi, Director for Strategic Relations at Trenkwalder Recruitment Kft. Moderator: György Boda, professor emeritus at Corvinus University of Budapest, managing partner of Boda & Partners Kft., and member of the board of the Labor Section of the Hungarian Economic Association. Participants will be welcomed by Tamás Halm, editor-in-chief of Economic Review and honorary member of the Hungarian Economic Association.
