The Public Finance Section of the HEA has re-elected Richárd Adorján, Deputy State Secretary for Budget Affairs at the Ministry for National Economy, as its President for another three-year term by a large majority. In addition, the voting members unanimously supported the appointment of Gergely Baksay, economist and former Executive Director of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank responsible for economic and budgetary analyses as well as statistics, and Péter Benő Banai, Deputy Governor of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank responsible for analyses, payment systems, and central bank programmes, as Vice Presidents of the Section.
There is no change in the position of Secretary of the Public Finance Section either: Dániel János Plósz, Chief Financial Officer of AVIS Hungary, has been reappointed to the role for another three-year term by the members. In addition to them, the following professionals were elected members of the Section’s Board: Ádám Balog, Vice President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice President of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and President of KAVOSZ; Ábel Berczik, Deputy State Secretary for Public Finance Regulation, Human and Municipal Budgeting at the Ministry for National Economy; Csaba Bugár, Chairman and CEO of Diákhitel Központ Plc.; László György, Government Commissioner at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office responsible for economic strategies and the management of the Teach for Hungary programme, Associate Professor at Eötvös Loránd University and Neumann János University; Gábor Kutasi, Head of Institute, Head of Department, and Habilitated Associate Professor at the University of Public Service; László Lukács, Head of the Economic and Operations Department at the National Research, Development and Innovation Office; Gábor P. Kiss, Head of the Budget Research Department at the Hungarian National Bank; and András Réz, Senior Adviser to the Deputy President of the Hungarian State Treasury.
