Labor Market Impacts of AI – summary

The Labor Studies Section of the Hungarian Economic Association organized an online conference on April 7, 2026, in cooperation with the journal Közgazdasági Szemle. The event focused on Andrea Szalavetz’s study entitled “How Can We Navigate the Noise Surrounding the Labor Market Impacts of Artificial Intelligence?”, published in the January 2026 issue of Közgazdasági Szemle.

The conference was opened by Tamás Halm, Editor-in-Chief of Közgazdasági Szemle. The discussion was moderated by György Boda, Professor Emeritus at Corvinus University of Budapest and member of the Section’s executive board. Invited speakers included Miklós Koren, professor at Central European University; Ágnes Tóth, higher education and HR expert; and József Nógrádi, Director of Strategic Relations at Trenkwalder.
