We look forward to welcoming graduates, would-be economists and professionals interested in economic issues as members of the HEA!

The membership fee for active workers is HUF 7,000, while retired members, full-time students and maternity leave takers pay HUF 3,000 annually. In exchange, members may participate in the HEA’s professional events free of charge, with few exceptions including our itinerant conferences, FIKOT and KÁMFOR. In addition, members may enjoy purchase discounts and offers available from more than 1,100 stores and service providers in Hungary.

Joining for legal members

In addition to natural persons, such as economics students, active or retired economists and professionals interested in economics and finance, legal entities and companies are also welcome to join the HEA. In exchange for a membership fee services are offered to legal members as widely as possible. According to the HEA’s General Assembly of delegates held in 2015 these include the following:

1. The minimum amount of membership fee for legal members of the HEA is HUF 25,000 annually.
2. Legal members will be given the opportunity to appear on the communication sites of the HEA in the proportion of the paid membership fees:
   1. in case of an annual membership fee of HUF 25,000 – 99,999 the name of the legal member will appear on the website of the HEA;
   2. in case of an annual membership fee of HUF 100,000 – 199,999 the name of the legal member will appear on the website of the HEA, with an active link to the member’s website;
   3. in case of an annual membership fee of HUF 200,000 – 499,999 the logo of the legal member will also appear on the website of the HEA, with an active link to the member’s website;
   4. in case of an annual membership fee of 500,000 – 999,999, in addition to the features indicated in paragraph c), the logo of the legal member will also appear on the Sponsors Wall of the Itinerant Conference of Economists;
   5. in case of an annual membership fee of over HUF 1,000,000, in addition to the features indicated in paragraph d), free participation in the HEA’s Itinerant Conference of Economists will be offered for 2 persons.

Naturally legal members, including employees and colleagues, will be invited to our events and conferences in the future as well, along with an opportunity to occasionally appear in the electronic newsletter of the HEA
