In what is now a tradition, the Hungarian Economic Association and the Secretariat of the Fiscal Council is organising a conference aimed at presenting background studies prepared for the Fiscal Council. The event will be held at 9.30 a.m. on Thursday, 12 October 2017, in the Kossuth Club (1088 Budapest, Múzeum utca 7, large conference room on the 1st floor).
Presenters: Judit Antal, chief economists of Innovative Economic Solutions / OG Research; Éva Palócz, CEO of Kopint-Tárki Zrt and HEA Vice President; Ilona Cserháti, lecturer at the Economic and Social Statistical Analysis and Research Centre of the Budapest Corvinus University; András Vértes, chairman of GKI Economic Research Zrt; József Simon, chief counsellor and head of the audit department of the State Audit Office; Gergely Baksay, director of the National Bank of Hungary; Júlia Varga, senior researcher at the Economic and Regional Research Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; and László György, chief economist of the economic research institute Századvég Gazdaságkutató Zrt. The conference will be chaired by President of the Fiscal Council and HEA’s Honorary President for Life Árpád Kovács.
