The Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) is organising a forum about improving the business environment and competitiveness of Hungary’s SME sector. The discussion will be part of a series of four workshops related to the 330 recommendations by the National Bank of Hungary for the sector’s competitiveness. The event will start at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 19 June 2019, in the Lotz room of the Budapest University of Economics (1055 Budapest, Markó utca 29-31).

The introductory presentation will be given by András Balatoni, the National Bank’s director responsible for economic forecast and analyses. This will be followed by a panel discussion with the following participants: Éva Palócz, CEO of the economic research company Kopint-Tárki Zrt and vice president of HEA; Erzsébet Czakó, university department head, co-director of the BCE Competitiveness Research Centre, and chairman of HEA’s Industry and Enterprise Section; Magdolna Csath, lecturer at the National University of Public Service, and member of the Council for Competitiveness; and Petra Inotay, President of the National Association of Young Enterpreneurs. The panel discussion will be moderated by Attila Weinhardt, analyst of portfolio.hu.
