The Visegrad Alliance celebrates its thirtieth anniversary in 2021. The anniversary offers a good opportunity for economists from the four countries to review the results and future prospects of the economic cooperation of the “Visegrad Four” in an online conference.

The Hungarian Economic Association (HEA) is organizing an online roundtable discussion with the participation of the presidents of the economic associations of the four countries on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2 pm on HEA’s YouTube channel. Participants in the panel discussion: Svatopluk Kapounek, President of the Czech Economic Society, Associate Professor at Mendel University in Brno; Martin Kahanec, former President of the Slovak Economic Association, founder and Science Director of Central European Labour Studies Institute, professzor at CEU and University of Economics in Bratislava; Bogusław Fiedor, Vice-President of the Polish Economic Society, Professor at the University of Economics in Wloclaw and Gyula Pleschinger, President of the Hungarian Economic Association, Member of the Monetary Council of the Hungarian National Bank. The moderator of the discussion is Gábor Iván, Director at the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, President of the EU Section of the Hungarian Economic Association.
