The enlargement of the European Union’s Schengen and Eurozone with Romania and Bulgaria – this is the title of the professional meeting of the European Union Section of the Hungarian Economic Assiciation (HEA) on Wednesday, 12 April 2023, from 14:00 at the HEA Community Room (Eiffel Palace Office Building, 1055 Budapest, Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út 78.)

Speakers of the event are: Zsolt Becsey, Lecturer at the Károli Gáspár Reformed University, Vice President of the European Union Section of HEA (The two internal enlargement circles of the EU from a historical perspective); Csaba Zalai, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice for the Coordination of EU Affairs (Enlargement of the Schengen and Euro Area towards Romania and Bulgaria – Hungarian governmental and EU position); and János Barabás T., Senior Analyst at the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (The enlargement of the Schengen and Euro area to Romania and Bulgaria).

The event will also be the inaugural event of the MKT European Union Section. An electronic ballot paper for the renewal will be sent by e-mail to all members of the Section who are eligible to vote and who are not in arrears one week before the event.
