Common EU rules on work – national experiences. The Hungarian Economic Association’s Labour Section will organise an online professional event under this title on Thursday, 15 February 2024, from 14:00 on Webex and on the HEA’s YouTube channel. The event is part of a year-long series of conferences in which HEA’s sections will review the experiences and achievements of Hungary’s two decades of EU membership.

The speakers are Gábor Kártyás, Associate Professor at Pázmány Péter Catholic University (European time: working hours as an example of the unifying labour law regulation); Szilvia Halmos, Judge of the Labour Chamber of the Metropolitan Court, Associate Lecturer at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University (What has EU accession added to anti-discrimination law in the field of employment?) and Judit H. Nagy, Occupational Health and Safety Expert, Director of the Technical Training Centre of the Budapest University of Technology (The path of change in the field of occupational health and safety). The invited speakers are Gyula Pallagi, Vice President of the Hungarian Trade Union Confederation and Adrienn Bálint, Director for Employment and Social Affairs of the National Confederation of Hungarian Industrialists. The discussion will be moderated by Katalin Nagy, former Counsellor of the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU, Member of the Board of the Labour Section of the HEA.
