European competitiveness challenges in a changing world. The Hungarian Economic Association’s (HEA) Industry and Entrepreneurship Section will organise a roundtable discussion on this topic on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, from 15:00 at the HEA Community Room (ELTE ÁJK Building B, 1053 Budapest, Kecskeméti u. 10-12, 4th floor 403.) and on the HEA’s YouTube channel.
The participants of the discussion – Csaba Majoros, CEO of Csaba Metál Zrt.; Erzsébet Czakó, Professor at the Budapest Business University and Anna Dedéné Novotni, Vice President of Hajdu Group (invited) – will discuss, among other things, how the global economic transformation affects automotive supply chains, what are the possible industrial policy responses in Europe and Hungary, and what are the successful corporate strategies and breakout points in this situation. The discussion will be moderated by Balázs Babarczy, Senior Researcher at Syreon Research Institute Ltd. and Secretary of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Section of the HEA. Miklós Kozma, Associate Professor at Corvinus University of Budapest and President of the Section, will welcome the participants.
